EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Level II certification for one or more applicable Non-destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines, such as ultrasonic, eddy current, or liquid penetrant required.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License highly preferred.
- Ability to correctly use one or more types of applicable NDT equipment.
- 3-4 years’ experience in aircraft Non-destructive Testing (NDT).
- Ability to read and interpret ADs, S/Bs, SRMs, industry NDT specifications and other work instructions.
- Thorough understanding of NDT principles, techniques, and limitations for various materials and aircraft components.
- Familiarity with aircraft structures, systems, and maintenance procedures.
- Deep understanding of FAA Part 145 regulations related to NDT inspections and airworthiness requirements.
- Ability to accurately interpret NDT test results and differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable flaws.
- Precise record keeping of inspection findings, including detailed reports and necessary documentation.
