Position Summary
We are immediately seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join our motivated Advanced Capabilities and Expert Solutions (ACES) Division and support our F/A-18E/F System Configuration Set (SCS) training team in Lemoore, CA.
The ACES Division supports Tactical Air's mission by delivering world class training, products, and support directly to fleet aviators. As part of ACES, the SCS team provides the latest information on aircraft software features and functionality to warfighters so they can be successful in combat. The SCS training program is dynamic and challenging, reflecting new approaches to SCS development, testing within NAVAIR, and tactical implementation.
Responsibilities
- Research, process, and distill complex technical material for meaningful and engaging presentations to fleet Naval Aviators.
- Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of test aircrew, engineers, weapon school SMEs, industry partners, and PMA personnel.
- Conduct professional, in-person training for large and small groups of aircrew with varied experience levels
- Cross-train and assist other priority efforts within ACES
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- A combination of background, education, and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of eight years as F/A-18E/F aircrew (pilot or WSO)
- Familiarity and expertise with F/A-18E/F mission planning and training systems
- Travel (20%) required to various work sites throughout the U.S.
- Valid state driver's license
- Active and current Security Clearance with SAP eligibility
Desired Experience/Skills
- Extensive operational Strike Fighter experience and graduate-level credentials in Strike Fighter employment, instruction, and/or flight test
- Ability to research, process, and distill complex technical material, and subsequently present it to fleet aviators in meaningful and engaging ways; proactive approach to all research and fleet support tasks
- Enthusiasm and commitment to a working environment requiring intense collaboration, robust communication, and proactive coordination and information sharing with various F/A-18E/F and EA-18G operational squadrons, test squadrons, program offices, and tactical centers of excellence
- Ability to conduct professional, in-person training to groups of aircrew, with varied experience levels
- Strong interpersonal skills; passion for providing excellent customer service and support to warfighters
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to correctly prioritize workload to maintain schedules, deadlines, and standards on assigned projects
- Familiarity or experience with the U.S. Armed Forces and Department of Defense (DoD) federal contractors
Work Authorization
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form
