Ventus International Aviation (VIA) is quickly becoming one of the premier international trip support service providers. VIA prides itself on offering personal service for each client, no matter the size of the plane or the length of the trip. VIA is currently seeking an Operations Manager to assist their dispatch and sales team with all day to day operations. The candidate needs to be a highly motivated, intelligent aviation professional willing to support the 24/7 nature of their operation to ensure the client is well taken care of.

The Operations Manager will play a critical role in our organization, responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of flight planning and dispatch operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of aviation operations to ensure seamless service delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate will be proactive, and detail-oriented, and possess a passion for driving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the daily operations of the flight planning and dispatch department, ensuring smooth execution of all flight-related activities.
  • Supervise a team of dispatchers and operational staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to optimize team performance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities, including cost control measures and resource allocation to optimize operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in aviation operations, implementing relevant improvements and innovations.
  • Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective, and accurate performance of client trips, including:
    • Ground Handling and logistical support
    • International flight plans
    • Understanding of overflight and landing permits
    • Weather and Notams
    • Hotel Accommodations
    • Ground Transportation
    • Flight Following
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in Aviation Operations, with specific experience in flight planning, trip support, or dispatch services preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in providing excellent customer
  • Familiarity with Part 135 and/or Part 91 regulations
  • Ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Prior supervisory experience is helpful
