Job Summary

The work of an Agent Airport Operations may include any of the following:  monitoring inbound/outbound flight activity, computer data input and manual revisions; prepares daily reports on domestic/international arrivals and departures, including FIDS and inputting all schedule and gate changes; coordinates with all necessary departments and contractors for all emergency and fuel stops at local terminal; handles gate control and charter gate assignments; notifies Sky Caps for requests of wheelchairs, etc.; prepares and collects directly or via two-way radios; updates the schedule as needed to ensure aircraft requirements are met; maintains records of all aircraft, flights serviced and services performed; monitors computers, telephone calls, and surveillance cameras.  May complete customer billing documents.  Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations.  Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with necessary departments and contractors for emergency and fuel stops at the local terminal.
  • Manage gate control and assign gates for charter flights.
  • Notify Sky Caps for wheelchair requests and other passenger assistance.
  • Prepare and collect information via two-way radios to ensure timely communication.
  • Update flight schedules as needed to meet aircraft requirements.
  • Maintain records of all aircraft, flights serviced, and services performed.
  • Monitor computers, telephone calls, and surveillance cameras to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete customer billing documents as required.
  • Adhere to WFS site security procedures for the warehouse and other operations.
  • Remain aware of the activities of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors, and report any security breaches, suspicious activity, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or through the WFS whistleblower program.
Minimum Requirements
  • HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
  • Above average interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Must be able to work under pressure. 
  • Must be able to work alone, and use independent judgement. 
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously. 
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to concentrate on detail.
  • Ability to learn PC applications and apply knowledge.
  • Write legibly in order to complete forms and paperwork as required.
  • Familiarity with personal computer software helpful.
  • Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged period.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in stressful working conditions and under pressure.
  • Ability to work in seasonal and adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work rotating shift including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off.
