What can you expect…
You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Future Payloads Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following:
Defining future satellite payloads, including: ConOps, specification, and architecture
Conducting and clearly communicating equipment and component research and trade-offs; including make/buy
Simulation, analysis and prototyping of RF, digital and photonic systems
Learning how to develop a concept to real flight equipment
Writing internal, R&D and commercial proposals to secure funding
Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position.
At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Future Payload Engineer!
What we are looking for...
To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, we ask that you demonstrate you have:
Educated to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study (Masters Degree preferable)
Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of a relevant engineering or related discipline such as communications engineering, electronic engineering, computer science, physics or mathematics
Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
Interest/knowledge in/experience of the below would be desirable;
Systems engineering, particularly in the field of digital signal processing, satellite communications, and/or secure communications
System/equipment RF/digital/silicon hardware, firmware or software detailed design
Innovation and initiative to pursue new ideas, convince others, investigate potential technologies/solutions and drive change
Raising the TRL of digital, photonics and/or RF systems through software, firmware of hardware development.
