ATR - Loads Engineer

Job Description:

Within the Engineering Directorate, you will integrate the Flight Technologies department. In a small and dynamic team of engineers, a strong teamwork is requested to answer to the various challenges around flight and ground loads for ATR products. The global objective is to support the in-service ATR aircraft, to provide the loads contributions to the current developments and alsoto contribute to the preparation of ATR product evolution towards a greener and more efficient aircraft.

All this takes place in an environment continuously challenging your autonomy and adaptability, and your innovative spirit on how to continuously conciliate available means, current expectations and history of the ATR design

As a Loads engineer, you will work on various topics in the field of ground and flight loads. Your main activities will be :

• Perform Flight and ground loads analysis in the context of a development (modification) or future projects and provide loads data to the stress department.
• Coordinate with the stress department the activities schedule and the format of the loads data delivery
• Analyze some fleet in service events associated with possible overloads (hard landing, in-flight turbulence…) to determine if the design loads have been exceeded and to provide the customer with comprehensive rationales.
• Support certification of the aircraft modification for structural loads aspects both based on legacy certification rules and latest ones, and their related justification approach.  
• Develop and improve methods and in-house tools around loads computation

• Master’s degree or engineering diploma in aeronautics.
• Experience of at least 10 years in the domain of the structural ground or flight loads
• Knowledge in the analysis of in-service incident
• Basic general knowledge of aircraft design
• Good general knowledge of structural loads certification
• Willingness to work with several disciplines, to be collaborative
• Curiosity, willingness to grow and learn every day
• Ability to adapt
• Ability to present technical results and to convince
• Fluent English,
• French at least moderate, fluent is a plus
• Programming skills in Python
• Pilot license would be a plus.
• An experience in aeroelasticity analysis would be a plus

Periods of on-call duty are to be expected for this position
