Position Summary
MAG is seeking to hire an AV/VTC Engineer Tech (Journeyman) to execute a high-level Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) project supporting the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The AV/VTC Engineer Tech eningeering work will be perfomed at MAGs PAX River office in Maryland. The project focus will be AV/VTC technology procurement, design, integration, test, and installation support within classified and unclassified AFSOC conference spaces at DoD installations. Installation and final testing will take place in Florida and would occur at the end of the 3 to 5 month engineering project. This role requires extensive technical knowledge as well as strong project management and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, test and install AV/VTC systems to include large format display systems, video walls, cameras, audio/video switching, storage, and processing, control systems, unified conferencing, video/audio codecs, and immersive technologies
- Update or repair operating systems and applications
- Oversee and perform the implementation of system architectures.
- Work with a team of engineers and other technical professionals to design and integrate hardware, software, AV/VTC, and networking components to create a functional and secure system
- Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues
- Perform integration, installation, and verification testing of new equipment
- Update changes to system documentation and drawings
- Ensure system security and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- 70 of this role will occur on-site at the MAG Office in PAX River, MD
Requirements
Experience
- 3-10 years of recent and relevant experience in AV/VTC system and computer network design, development, integration, testing, fielding, operation, and maintenance
Education
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM Major is preferred
- An Associates Degree with an additional 4 years of experience (bringing the minimum years of experience to 7 versus the 3 listed above)
- No Degree with an additional 6 years of experience (bringing the minimum years of experience to 9 versus the 3 listed above)
Clearance
- Must hold an active DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Qualification
- Hands-on experience with U.S. DoD AV/VTC systems, computers, and networks

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90000 to $125000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
