What you’ll be doing as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer
The Additive Manufacturing Engineer is a high-energy Process Engineer, with hands-on, practical experience. This position will accelerate the technical and commercial traction of our core technologies and products. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, designing 3D printable technical product designs, and maintaining process documents within an AS9100 continuous improvement quality culture.
- Create efficient STL 3D print files
- Develop 3D printing processes that are manufacturing ready
- Create new products on our varied composites, textile, coating, foam, and additive manufacturing technologies
- Test newly created products
- Test raw materials
- Document processing conditions. test results, and other critical-to-quality data
- Develop best practice SOPs, WIs, etc. for AM processes Generate optimized build files to produce high quality parts in minimum time with maximum consistency
- Monitor builds on a varying schedule
- Assist in Quality System audits
- Research new 3D printable materials and leverage those materials into new technical products
