Contract Position
$51.17-$56.17/Hour
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Lead systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, system architecture, design, and integration of ruggedized electronics equipment for U.S. Navy programs.
- Manage the full systems development lifecycle, ensuring effective requirements flow-down, traceability, and documentation.
- Define and validate system-level architectures and drive requirements through design, verification, and test phases.
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary engineering teams to integrate complex subsystems.
- Support failure investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Utilize modeling tools and data analysis to optimize system performance and compliance.
- Present engineering plans, strategies, and trade studies to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply Agile and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Secret Clearance required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
- Proven experience with the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, analysis, and traceability.
- Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, Jira, and MATLAB.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and MBSE approaches.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Requirements flow-down and traceability
- System architecture and integration
- Driving design and test from system-level requirements
- Supporting failure investigations
- Leading technical discussions and delivering effective presentations
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience working on DoD programs or with ruggedized electronics systems.
- Ability to effectively interface with both engineering teams and customers.
- Strong background in trade study execution and strategy development for complex systems.
