As an Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining electrical power systems which include ICP (Industrial control panels), pumps, sensors, and sensitive analog instrumentation. Other responsibilities may include developing lab and production power requirements to drive lab and production area layout and build. You would work closely with other power and control engineers and scientists for design requirements and design implementation.

Your technical expertise and commitment to excellence will contribute to the companys success, reputation, and growth in the industry.

You will report directly to our Sr R&D Manager and youll work out of our Golden Valley, MN location on a regular office (non-hybrid) work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the companys ability to deliver efficient and sustainable power solutions, contributing to the advancement of energy technologies and addressing critical challenges in the industry.

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $131,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    •   Design and develop electrical systems and analog components
    •   Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
    •   Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
    •   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
    •   Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • + 5 years experience experience in electrical engineering using high power components and power distribution, implementing proper grounding strategies, analog design, and measurement of EM fields and shielding
  • Experience utilizing measurement devices such as oscilloscopes and power meters
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tools (e.g. schematic capture)

WE VALUE

  • Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 3 years experience
  • Experience with power system analysis and simulation tools
  • Design of Motor control and motor protection power circuits including Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Strong  working knowledge of  the NEC (National  Electric Code) and UL508A (Standard for safety - Industrial Control Panels)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
