Job Summary:Quality Engineer in AerospaceThe Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across aerospace production processes. You will provide support and quality analysis to production teams and other internal organizations, developing and evaluating quality assurance (QA) processes, work instructions, and site-specific procedures. Your focus will be on continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Support: Collaborate with production teams to implement and refine QA processes. Mentor team members on root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action methodologies, fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Quality Planning: Generate comprehensive Quality Plans to meet internal and external requirements for assigned programs. Act as the Quality Representative for the Material Review Board (MRB), leading root cause investigations to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
Trend and Failure Analysis: Conduct trend analysis and failure analysis to document and implement corrective actions for products and processes. Generate quality metrics for internal and customer reporting, participating in program core meetings and site reviews.
Supplier Quality Assurance: Support Supplier Quality Assurance requirements and oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) processes for internal and external suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide quality-engineering support to various departments, including Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management. Actively participate in Customer Program Reviews and audits, facilitating communication between customers and internal teams.
Training and Mentorship: Lead and mentor other Quality Engineers and inspection personnel, ensuring effective training in quality assurance principles and tools. Champion corrective action efforts, utilizing internal and external databases to track and resolve quality issues.
Management Support: Assist the Quality Director in management-level meetings and, when necessary, assume responsibilities as acting Quality Director, overseeing daily operations and departmental activities.

Profile and other information related to the position
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance within aerospace or a related industry.
- Proven expertise in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies, with a strong ability to mentor others in these practices.
- Proficient in reading and speaking English to effectively communicate technical information.
- Knowledge of aviation standards and specifications, including AS9100, and experience with blueprint reading and navigation.
