The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Lead Hand is responsible to the Base Engineer, and Senior Maintenance Manager for supervision, control, direction, and coordination of the activities of the maintenance assigned. The Lead Hand shall report to the Quality Assurance Manager with matters involving Quality Assurance, Quality Control including inspection, Aircraft Certification, and Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).
Job Responsibilities
Assign tasks to the maintenance staff as required and monitor their progress.

Monitor for weak or ineffective areas of manpower and assist the maintenance staff in all aspects of their duties.
Supervise to ensure that the work performed is done in accordance with approved data and manufactures instructions.
Ensure effective communication is provided regarding shift hand-over.
Ensure the company MCM and MCP’s are adhered to.
Make sure that the hangar and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
Confirm maintenance staff’s understanding of CMA’s MCM, MCP’s and Memos
Ensure the security of aircraft and the facility while on shift.
Advise CMA Dispatch of aircraft status when an aircraft is brought in for maintenance.
Complete First Aid training and act as first responders for any injury sustained by other personnel while on shift.
Other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsTransport Canada Certified AME License M1 or M2
Minimum of 5 years working on aeroplanes in a commercial environment
Ability to legally work in Canada.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to perform well under pressure, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
