This position will be onsite in Duluth, MN from May through August 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

This Airframe Structures Engineer Intern is responsible for the generation drawings and documents for substantiating new or revised airframe designs.

  • Interface with design engineers in advanced design or sustaining working on new airframe designs or revisions to existing production approved designs.
  • Structural sizing of composite and metal parts using both classical hand calculations and FEA.
  • Generate documentation of final design analysis to support production or prototype drawing release.
  • Generate design reviews to support design approvals and product gate reviews

  • Must be upper division student within two years of graduation.
  • Must be pursuing relevant degree and have successfully completed courses pertaining to: Statics & Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Materials Science, Machine Component Design
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship.
