Job Summary:
Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking an Avionics Engineering Co-op .
Assist the Avionics Engineering department with the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems on Cirrus aircraft and/or test benches. Systems include flight instruments, avionics, communication, navigation, lighting, and safety systems.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering
- Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
- Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience in scripting languages Perl or Python preferred but not required.
- Aviation experience preferred but not required
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Requirements:
- Must be upper division student within two years of graduation.
- Must be pursuing relevant degree.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to complete entire duration of co-op.
- Must be able to secure local housing for duration of co-op.
