How you will spend your summer:
- Supporting and witnessing structural test, abuse load requirement and impact test. Jama and requirement traceability. Preparing test data for AI learning and parametric study.
- The intern will help with certification work. Alleviate the workload for validation and formally finish the project using Ansys Discovery.
- Parametric study of typically obsoleted part and evaluate the change won’t affect HIC issue.
- Possible path of replacing the monitor without conducting the official HIC test.
- Focus on abuse load requirements (DO-313, Airbus, and Boeing)
- Creating dummy weight for LRUs and other IFE equipment
- Testing: SSD/STP/STR or STX Vib testing/witness
- Use the strain gauge. Learn how to use it.
- Ansys Discovery: Abuse load
- Abuse load tester have the ability to test horizontal loading.
- HCT and automated reporting
Key Qualifications:
- Must be an actively enrolled in school. Preferred Junior/Senior in college
- Requires Material Science, Solid mechanics
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, context switches and make efficient use of shared resources
- Demonstrated engineering communication expertise including clear and concise written and verbal skills
The hourly wage range for this position is $25- $36. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
