Job Description:

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom Shift: Late Shift (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM) STS Aviation Services is hiring a Check Management Support Engineer (CMSE) to join our Base Maintenance team at the Manchester Hangar. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to deepen their expertise in aircraft maintenance management while contributing to the efficient, on-time delivery of aircraft back to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and aircraft preparation to the highest standards.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and modifications as directed by zonal supervision.
Collaborate with the Check Manager and Certifying Engineers (B1/B2) to identify potential issues and develop proactive solutions.
Provide timely updates to Certifying Engineers on factors impacting work plans.
Report unsafe situations to supervisors and via the internal reporting system (Centrik).
Ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with approved Maintenance Data.
Maintain technical integrity for all work conducted under your supervision.
Engage in career development through the Mechanics Passport Scheme.
Maintain excellent tool control and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
Uphold company Health and Safety policies at all times.
Exhibit flexibility in adapting to a dynamic work environment.

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a mechanic in aviation or a related field.
Completion of an indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in aviation or mechanical engineering.
Part 66 A Licence is preferred but not required—STS will provide training for career growth.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative team setting.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
Full UK driving license is essential.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must either be United Kingdom citizens or possess a valid work authorization with at least two years remaining until expiration.
