The Chief Engineer (CE) leads, coordinates, and exercises technical program execution authority over Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for planning, organizing, controlling, integration, execution of, and close out of engineering content on a variety of flight simulator programs.u202F The position will work closely with senior level program engineering management.u202F

  • Responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams. Key efforts may include cybersecurity, standards development, trainer application development, and enterprise integration across multiple training platforms.

  • The CE performs as the technical lead over the assigned engineering team on a program to include leading/participatingu202Fin program peer & gate reviews, supporting program management reviews (PMRs), and coordinating technical activity amongst the program IPTs and government/industry engineering consortiums.u202F

  • The CE performs weekly/monthly Cost Account Management (CAM) reviews with IPTs andu202Fis responsible foru202Ftechnical, cost and schedule performance for the engineering content on a program.u202F

  • Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors.u202F

  • The CE receives engineering direction from and is accountable to a Directorate Chief Engineer, who has overall Program Engineering responsibility for successfully proposing,u202Fdevelopingu202Fand delivering Product Line solutions.u202F

  • Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area.u202F

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering or sciencesu202F

  • 8+ years of USG/DoD development program experienceu202F

  • 3+ years of Engineering Lead experience in USG/DoD development programsu202F

  • 3+ years of experience with IBM/Rational or Atlassian development and collaboration tools, DOORS, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Microsoft Projectu202F
