Cockpit Connectivity Systems Designer (m/f)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cockpit Connectivity Systems Designer (m/f) to join our Data & Platform Department, based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team preparing the future of aircraft digitalisation. You will be involved in the definition of the systems design architecture, its development, delivery and support for the products.

The System is composed of the Infrastructure hosting the Secured Avionics Functions and Communication to support Airlines operations and services.

These systems are key for the various programs (A320, A330, A380, A350):

• To enable ground/board connectivity with up to date technologies (5G/6G, SatCom SBB LEO/GEO, ATG, .., ) on our legacy and future A/C

• To allow the crew to perform their mission, by providing access and user experience within the cockpit (EFB, ..).

• To allow maintenance operators to dispatch the aircraft.

This is the field where a lot of initiatives, and RnT activities are taking place.

In this context, your mission will be to release an on board connectivity and Information system architecture

Your challenges:

• Define and validate the system architecture solution, ensuring security, optimization, robustness and performance, including basic services. This will be done using MBSE (CAMEO)

• Define and apply the end-to-end V&V & Integration strategy (on board systems, ground, C-PED).

• Process and investigate System anomalies (JTE), and contribute to the classification, and prioritization.

• Answer to Airlines&39; in service requests.

Your boarding pass:

• Background in IT, Aerospace or Network & Telecoms.

• First experience in System Design.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Embedded Systems, Avionics and Aircraft architecture.

• MBSE (CAMEO) competence is required

• Skills in Python / Qt framework / Web development would be an asset.

• Aircraft Operation & operational knowledge (e.g. pilot) would be a plus.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Negotiation level of English.

Salary range based on the required profile: 50 to 60 K/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication”.
