Ethiopian Airlines Group would like to invite international qualified candidates for its New Mega Hub Airport in the capacity of Commercial/ Contracts Engineer (Expat) position.

• Qualification Requirements : BSc Degree in Engineering field of studies from a recognized University/College /Vocational School with a minimum of 20 years experience.
• Language proficiency: Fluent in written and Spoken in English Language.
• Key Competencies:
  • Responsible for Commercial related matters and tasks related to Contract Management and Cost monitoring.
  • Provide guidance and assistance in all aspects of contract management for the proper implementation of contract provisions.
  • Oversee Contract negotiation with different project parties.
  • Plan and implement overall packaging strategy and procurement plan
  • Assists in managing the tendering process starting from the invitation to tender, going through the tender period and respond to the tenderers’ queries, evaluate tenders, issue tender evaluation report.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex contracts for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, including preparation, negotiation, and administration.
  • Proficiency in understanding and applying contract terms, conditions, and obligations in line with international and local standards.
  • Strong commercial skills, with a deep understanding of cost management, financial analysis, and budgeting related to construction projects.
  • Ability to assess project financial risks, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective procurement and contract execution.
  • Experience in overseeing the tendering and procurement processes, including drafting tender documents, evaluating bids, and awarding contracts.
  • Knowledge of procurement strategies and practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and achieve value for money.
  • Expertise in managing contract disputes, claims, and variations, including negotiation, mediation, and resolution strategies.
  • Ability to handle claims for additional costs, time extensions, and other contractual adjustments effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to construction contracts, including international standards and local laws.
  • Experience in ensuring that contracts comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Skilled in preparing and maintaining accurate and comprehensive contractual documentation, including contract agreements, amendments, and correspondence.
  • Ability to generate and analyse reports related to contract performance, financial status, and compliance.
  • Experience in integrating contract management with overall project management, ensuring alignment with project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Ability to work closely with project managers and other teams to support project success.
