This role is critical to driving business needs across the site, managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise, and will be heavily involved in identifying, designing, developing, and maintaining control systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimizing system performance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Modify various control platforms (PLC, HMI, Alarm Management) on the site as required.
  • Support engineers and maintenance in troubleshooting and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Supports root cause failure analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.
  • Aid in development of KPI’s of strategic areas to help focus site resources.
  • Provides troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment repair/reliability.
  • Provides input into the maintenance budget, specifically to identify infrastructure and non-routine spending requirements.
  • Hard drive recovery
  • DT integration to maintenance
  • This role will be the point person for data ingestion from the machines to Historian.
  • Utilization of advanced diagnostic tools and techniques including, but not limited to Historian, OpsVision, data logger, Fluke analyzer, etc.
  • Coordinate projects within the maintenance department as well as other disciplines to find root cause with repeat issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of controls engineering experience)

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum 1.5 years of controls engineering experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of instrumentation and electrical systems, equipment, and software
  • Experience with any of the following platforms: Allen Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens
