DFDR Parameter Check Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Data frame validation - decoding, pre-processing & processing of data from Flight Data Recorders into readable flight parameters
• Check the consistency and behavior of recorded parameters for all Airbus commercial Production Aircrafts at each Airbus commercial A/C delivery steps like engine run, rejected take-off, first flight & customer acceptance flight 
• Handling different types of data (audio, flight data and datalink) from Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) , FDR (Flight data recorder ) ,CVDRs( Combined Voice and Data Recorder ) and also verifying the GMTs recorded by Flight Data Interface Management Unit (FDIMU)
• Certification and validation of digital flight data recorders 
• Coordination with stakeholders (Final Assembly Lines, Flight Test Engineer, etc) by ensuring proactive and prompt communication within the team and also with stakeholders to manage the critical deliveries, unplanned situations/emergencies

Must have:-

• Knowledge of ARINC 429 and ARINC 717 protocols, flight data decoding and validation.
• Knowledge of aircraft flight parameters - ability to understand recorded parameters during the various tests performed on the aircraft
• Ability to Communicate with stakeholders from different countries
• Adaptable to working in shift to cover the SLA ( service level agreement ) 07:30 AM to 07:30 PM - Central European Standard Time (GMT&43;1)
• Quick reactivity as the deadlines are very short

Good to have:- 

• Knowledge of tools such as INSIGHT, FAS , Visage  
• Basic knowledge on Python , Google App script for contributing to the digitization initiatives of parameter check activity
