EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other related field.
· Minimum of 2 years engineering experience or relative aviation technical experience.
· Preferred knowledge or experience with any of the following Hydraulic Actuators – Internal Locking and Non-Locking
o Hydraulic Valves, Reservoirs, Accumulators, Pumps
o Hydraulic Power Packs
o Linear and Rotary Electro-mechanical actuators
o Ball-screws, Roller Screws, ACME Screws
o Gears, Splines and Planetary Gear Sets
o Electronic Enclosures
· Preferred experience with the following:
o Manufacturing processes used to make these types of products
o Materials and Processes used for these type of products
o Finishes and tolerances associated with these type of products
o MIL Handbook 5, Material Properties, SN Curves etc.
o Regulatory requirements for qualifying and certifying these types of components
o Vibration modes and testing associated with these types of components and systems
o Desirable to understand thermal considerations associated with these types of components and systems
o Tests & methods used to qualify these types of products
o Motors and control
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong familiarity with CATIA and SolidWorks CAD software
· Familiarity preferred with software packages such as KissSoft, LabView, MatLab Simulink, MathCad
· Demonstrated technical and organizational leadership
· Demonstrated ability to work as a team player both internally and externally
· Strong presentation skills
