Design Engineer 2 (Contractor/Temporary Assignment)

In this role, youll play a pivotal part in designing the coordination of seats and seat components. Coordinate changes with other internal company departments, vendors, and customers. Main Function Responsibilities

A)tReviews specification as related to assigned job.
B)tPrepares check list.
C)tPrepares lay outs.
D)tPrepares structural sub-assemblies and drawings.
E)tPrepares sketches for details.
F)tReviews drawing package to assure conformance to requirements.
G)tSubmits completed drawings to project lead for approval and release.
H)tLiaison for assigned task.
I)tPerforms other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

A.\tEducation & Qualification:
•\tMust have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree).
- OR -
•\tMust have a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree
B.\tWork Experience - Technical knowledge:
•\tAdditional 2 years of related design experience required with Bachelor degree
- OR -
•\tAdditional 1 year of related design experience required with Master degree
C.\tProfessional Skills:
•\tMust have excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer.
•\tMust be able to provide complicated lay-outs and program design studies.
•\tMust have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
•\tAbility to read and review written communication.
•\tSpeech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
D.\tBehavioral Skills:
•\tMust be able to interact successfully with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing departments.
•\tMust be able to function as part of a design team.
E.\tDesirable Aspects:
•\tAPQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, Problem Solving (8D, 5W2H)
•\tCATIA V.5

Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job.

Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise.
