And for a full listing of open job opportunities go to www.panasonic.aero/join-us/.      The Position:    Director level position, touching on all aspects of a start up division focused on delivery of Cabin Management Systems, In Flight Entertainment Systems and Global Communications Systems into the VVIP market as well as custom products into the VVIP and Commercial aircraft market.    
  • Directs the development of VVIP proposals which are aligned with customer expectations.
  • Directs the operations team for VVIP programs and custom products.
  • Directs the program management team for VVIP programs and custom products.
  • Supports the managing directors with coordination of operational financial aspects with the financial team.
  • Manages a staff of 4. Has budget accountability for $2M. Works with Senior Management to establish division strategy and objectives and works with other team members on implementation of such.
The salary or hourly wage range of $151,000 - $253,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.    What We’re Looking For:    
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Computer
  • Engineering or other related engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years experience in large scale integrated systems, complex software system development and/or program/product management.
  • 3 years experience managing staff.
  • Proven experience in leading design, development and life-cycle management of complex integrated systems, with emphasis on customer requirements and implementation.
  • Seasoned ability to communicate effectively and work with all areas of the company and act as a liaison between sales, marketing and engineering to ensure that the customer requirements are met.
  • Outstanding communication skills and demonstrated ability in developing and delivering complex business and technical presentations.
  • Excels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Ability to effectively influence multiple constituencies internally and externally and inspire action without direct organizational management responsibility.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of the company.
  • Directs and controls activities of a broad functional area.
  • Proficient in the use of MS office suite of software applications.
  • Ability to travel internationally 20 and domestically 20
