Objective:

Dynamic FEA Engineers will be responsible for performing advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations and analyses to evaluate the dynamic behavior and performance of mechanical systems. This position will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the structural integrity, reliability, and performance optimization of our products and will work under close supervision of Lead FEA Engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Main Function Responsibilities

List the current duties and responsibilities each which account for more than 5-10 of the incumbents time or are critical to the successful performance of the job

A)tResponsible for inspecting the CAD data received from designers prior to the inception of meshing.
B)tResponsible for doing all the mesh quality checks defined per the internal design validation guidelines for meshing by Safran Seats USA.
C)tSet up the model for static and quasi static analysis using Altair tools or LS-pre-post.
G)tPerform all the necessary linear/non-linear static analysis.
H)tEnsure that FEA models and simulations comply with industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
I)tAnalyze and interpret FEA results to identify potential design flaws, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Validate model with test and establish correlation
J)tWork with lead engineers to Develop and implement appropriate modeling techniques, boundary conditions, and material properties to accurately simulate real-world dynamic scenarios.
K)tOptimize design based on analysis and test results.
L)tPrepare technical presentations for product engineering under the supervision of design validation engineer IV or lead

Job Requirements:

Education: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering or related.

Work Experience/Technical knowledge:\t
•\tPrefer 1 year of finite element analysis experience using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package.
•\tPrefer knowledge of NASTRAN.

Professional Skills:\t
•\tMust have a strong background in basic structural engineering such as free body diagrams and strength of materials.
•\tKnowledge of FEA using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite, ANSYS or equivalent software package preferred. Knowledge of NASTRAN is preferred but not mandatory.
•\tPrefer broad understanding of finite element analysis and failure modes.
•\tMust have strong mechanical aptitude.
•\tMust have ability to think strategically and solve problems.
•\tMust be able to communicate efficiently in writing and verbally.
•\tMust be able to operate standard office equipment.
•\tMust be able to perform standard stress analysis.
•\tMust be willing to perform tests and some physical work at the test laboratory, as required.
•\tKnowledge of FAA (Part 25) and airframes manufacturer requirements is preferred but not mandatory.
•\tBasic ProE/CATIA skill is preferred.
•\tKnowledge of stochastic/statistical tools (DOE) is preferred
•\tMust have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
•\tExcellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present analysis findings to stakeholders..

Desirable Aspects: Experience of FEA using LS-Dyna or Radioss, Altair HyperWorks suite tolos.

Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity needed in using misc. office equipment such as telephone, computer and copy machine, etc. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job

Work environment: The work environment includes office setting with moderate office noise
