Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Engineering Operations Design Assurance System (DAS) Leader (f/m) to join our Design Office based in Marignane, France.

In order to improve Airbus Helicopters engineering efficiency, performances and comply with Airworthiness requirements, Engineering Operations need to improve their involvement in compliance to DOA and regulation and secure a continuous improvement of the relevant processes. In addition, anticipation and solving of DOA findings (CAR) are critical to secure operations.

As Engineering Operations empowered representative to the Design Assurance System improvement process led by Airworthiness Department, you will be part of the Airworthiness/Engineering Operations control tower in order to:

  • Prioritize the CAR treatments and protective and corrective action

  • Steer progress of the findings & CAR protectives and correctives actions

  • Validate solution proposed to Authorities

  • Define DOA improvement roadmaps

  • Monitor a.m. roadmap in particular as far as improvement implementation in engineering operations is concerned

Your challenges:

Under your leadership and in coordination with the Chief Engineers and Head of Métiers you will:

  • Contribute with Airworthiness Department to elaborate the protective and correctives actions to answer findings & CARs, and analyze/assess the operational impacts in order to provide clear recommendation for decision making and solution validation by the department

  • Provide business needs and DAS (Design Approval System) weakness from engineering operations point of view in order to secure a continuous improvement inputs aiming to improve engineering operation efficiency

  • Lead and coordinate, as far as the department is concerned, the improvement project implementation & deployment according to the commitment taken in front of Authorities in the frame of the CAR findings.

  • Be the Engineering Operations representative in the frame of DOA (Design Organization Approval) simplification process supporting the project and assessing in coordination with the organization Head Of the potential impacts and improvements

Your profile:

We are looking for someone showing at least the following asset:

  • Master degree in Engineering, aeronautical engineering

  • Knowledge on airworthiness regulation, design organization approval, aeronautic engineering processes such as design (airframe, avionics, software), configuration management, testing, system engineering, certification

  • Leadership according Airbus model

  • Open listening

  • Capacity to collaborate on complex situations and projects

  • Good communication

  • Team spirit

  • Resilient and pugnacity

  • Language skills:

English: fluent

French: negociation

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
