HybridCollins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to support its Power & Controls organization. In this role you will be part of an integrated product team of engineers that design and support aerospace flight control and engine control electronic applications. You will research, develop, design, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks, etc. for military and commercial purposes.
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do:
- Troubleshoot electrical device problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
- Design, modify, and evaluate electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in other equipment and devices.
- Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
- Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Produce deliverables according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
- Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components.
- Possibility to travel to our location in Santa Isabel

Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous experience working in the aerospace industry
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related
- Experience with analog and digital interfaces, electronic analysis techniques and laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzes, and other related test equipment.
- Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Design (PCD) tools such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence, etc.
- Knowledge on Printed Circuit Design (PCD) or related
- Knowledge in Power Electronics is a plus
