BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, hardware engineering, or engineering physics
- 1+ years working with digital or mixed-signal designs, using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and/or soldering equipment (includes internships and school projects)
- 1+ years in a manufacturing, reliability, and/or design engineering role (student project team or internship experience qualifies)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting/root causing electrical hardware failures
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
- 2+ years of industry experience working with electronic hardware
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for the team’s spirit of innovation and mission of improving reliability in cutting-edge technology
- Demonstrated application of process controls in high volume manufacturing, test, and quality environment
- Programming experience in Python/SQL/PowerBI with an emphasis on data analysis and automation
- Knowledge of quality tools such as Lean principles, Six Sigma, root cause analysis and corrective action, advanced product quality planning (APQP), metrology, process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), control plans, and various problem-solving approaches
- Experience developing or supporting any of the following products/processes:
- Analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit testing
- Design for excellence (DFX), derating, and related analyses
- Digital communications interfaces including SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and RS422
- Battery systems design and assembly
- RF hardware testing
- Solar power systems design and assembly
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Electrical Engineer/Level I: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Electrical Engineer/Level II: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
