Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Mississauga has a great opportunity for an Electrical Instrumentation Engineering Technologist. The successful incumbent will be providing specialist engineering and technical support for engine test facilities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Support the operation and/or maintenance of RCAF engine test facilities
- Provide detailed technical assistance on electrical and instrumentation systems
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, contractors, in-house support staff
- Analyze problems & take measures to rectify
- Provide on-site support
- Documentation, report preparation & administrative tasks
- Maintain up to date calibration procedures and carry out on-site facility calibrations
Position Requirements
- Engineering technologist diploma or equivalent experience relating to the repair and calibration of electronic instruments, electrical systems, data acquisition, instrumentation and control systems
- Working knowledge of engine test technology
- Excellent written, oral communication skills
- Knowledge of instrumentation systems, functions and limitations as well as calibration requirements and accuracies
- Knowledge of electronics, mathematics and measurement technology to diagnose, calibrate and repair electrical measurement systems and instruments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Understanding of engine operation and test parameters, both at a theoretical level and practical level
