Contract to Hire. On-site Kent, WA. 

Test Engineer - developing various avionic functions - data acquisition - set up for testing. avionic acceptance test - space/aerospace level II/III. lots of hardware to push through test. environmental test from space or aircraft. qualifications test. card level check-out of individual card testing verification. CTH. test scripts - knowing python is the main skill!

Technology: PYTHON! (or DO160) 8+ years. panel interviews - 30 minutes. CCA testing, lower level testing = card level testing. lots of automation work! ethernet is useful. experience from aerospace or space is needed = 5+ years (auto & oil/gas might be considered) Functional testing - updating test plans & procedures.

A shift

Electrical Test Engineers (Test planning, Execution, Scripts for PVC controller, VNU and RIO/FC testing)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Plan, complete, and report avionics development, qualification, and acceptance testing
  • Performing tests or ensuring that Technicians are able to do so
  • Analyzing Environmental/EMI data
  • Use measurement and analysis to determine root causes for failures in avionics testing
  • Identify and mitigate test execution risks
  • Collaborate with internal and external labs for test execution
  • Assist Test Equipment development activities
  • Perform and work comfortably in an environmental and EMI lab environment
  • Perform hardware requirements traceability and verification

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related field
  • 6+ years of hardware development, integration, systems engineering and/or testing experience.
  • 2+ years experience planning, executing, and reporting electronics testing.
  • Experience performing hardware requirements traceability and verification
  • Practical and analytical understanding of analog and digital electronics
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills regarding technical subjects.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the following standards; RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and/or MIL-STD-461
  • Familiarity with sensors including linear variable differential transformers (LVDT), resistance temperature detectors (RTD), thermocouples, pressure transducers, resolvers, and accelerometers
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, Linux
  • Proficiency configuring and troubleshooting test networks
  • Experience programming, debugging, and troubleshooting devices with microcontrollers
  • Experience with git for SW development
  • Graduate degree in electrical, computer, aerospace engineering or a related field
Salary Range: 70/HR-90/HR
