PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We have an opportunity for skilled resource support to assist the current team developing advanced RF sensors across several projects. This is a very dynamic and forward thinking team, a key aspect of these projects is the desire to do things differently. The role is varied, but focuses on design and test of complex PCBs. We have a diverse mix of skills within the team so this work can be tailored to accommodate the resource support that is being provided.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
The supplier should demonstrate a passion for new technology and working as part of an integrated approach to improve how we deliver to our customers. They should be able to support a dynamic team, with a desire to do things differently to support final delivery. They should provide resource to support the project that contains, as a minimum; skills and experience in the following areas:
• Proficiency with design of high speed digital PCBs with large FPGAs • Experience with design tools and also in the lab • Designing electronics for harsh environments • PCB for FPGAs • High speed digital interfaces (10 Gbps and faster!) • Matlab • Spice • Mentor DxDesigner • Hyperlynx • Keysight SIPro/PIPro
TASKS REQUIRED
Requirements capture and management; • Concept development for complex functions and systems; • PCB design for FPGA; • High speed digital design and analysis; • Integration and test; • Design of supporting electronics, including point of load power and analogue; • Production of material for design reviews; • Development of test planning, integration and design verification; • Mentoring and supervision of more junior team members.
DELIVERABLES
Provide engineering support for the MCTI PCA and the WBC RF Control Board. • Attend and support peer reviews • Support the production of the digital backplane documentation • Management of Development Teams for MCTI PCA & WBC RF Control PCA • Electronic Design of MCTI & WBC RF Control PCAs (Completion and support to Stages 4 & 5) • Review of Complex PCA Designs (As required) • Prepare and provide / present material, including supporting documentation as regular progress reports and updates with the team, providing an interface around the project deliverables and milestones as below: - ? Drive MCTI PCA through Stage 4 & 5 ? Drive WBC RF Control PCA through Stage 4 & 5 ? Peer Reviews of MDPs ? WBC Test Solution Design ? Digital backplane Documentation ? MCTI Test solution available • Provide transfer of knowledge and design data on the above, supporting the Design implementation document.
