Job Description:

To carry out repairs, inspection, refurbishment, modifications and rectification on all types of propulsion systems and components to the highest standard in the power plant work shop in accordance with airworthiness requirements and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendation at any given time. 


Job Outline:



  • To carry out QEC Build up, DE-QEC of all Power plants.




  • To carry out disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor repairs, modifications, assembly and modular replacement of all propulsion systems and components handled by Power plant Workshop.




  • To check serviceability of all Power plants, LRUS available on the shelves and carry out their cleaning, inspection, tagging & wrap up.




  • To maintain and supervise a high level of housekeeping, Engine Shop Cleaning, layout, setting of all tools, equipment, fixtures, trolleys in proper arrangement.




  • To carry out disassembly, cleaning, inspection, minor repairs and assembly of Nose cowls, Fan Reverser and APUS.




  • To make sure all the necessary paper work is signed after job completion and presented to the final authority (the license engineer) for final approval and release to service.




  • To be able to meet most effectively and efficiently any emergencies developed due to unplanned Engine failures at Outstations to carry out task required from Power plant shop




  • To keep abreast of all development in Engine maintenance by referring to all approved publications frequently and to attend training as and when required by the Company to enhance skills.




  • To assist carrying out engine transfers from shipping to working stands and vice versa.




  • To arrange for local Tool fabrication and special handling equipment required during engine disassembly and assembly.

Job Requirements:

Engineering Experience: 10+ Years


Education Background:
Vocational or Diploma (12+2 or equivalent)



  • Must possess a minimum of one authorization approval issued by the airline quality assurance department. 

  • Must hold Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license or equivalent on any one type of engines relevant to Emirates fleet.

  • With aviation experience including at least 5 years in an engine shop.


Knowledge/skills:



  • Must have served as an apprenticeship with an airline / approved organization or have received equivalent formal training and have 2 years experience certifying experience as authorization holder in an engine shop. 

  • Experience of leading a team of mechanics / technicians. 

  • Safety Sensitive role: Yes

  • Heavy lifting: Yes

  • Working in areas with motorised mobile equipment: Yes

  • Work in confined spaces: Yes
