EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in required Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other related Engineering field.
- FAA designee (ODA UM or DER) -14 CFR Part 23 and or 14 CFR Part 25
- Experience with complex certification projects integrating multiple Electrical/Avionics Systems
- Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience or relative aviation technical or systems experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong Desire to pursue a career as an ODA UM or expand current ODA UM qualifications to include Cabin (Interior) Electrical Systems for Part 23 & Part 25 Aircraft.
- Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills required.
- Time management skills are required to work multiple concurrent projects of various size and scope.
- Experience with avionics and electrical system design to the requirements of 14 CFR Part 23 and 14 CFR Part 25 preferred.
- Experience with computer-aided wiring diagram and harnessing software is desired. Mentor Graphics experience is a plus.
- Experience with electrical wiring, harnessing, and manufacturing is strongly desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required, other computer skills are a plus.
- Any past design knowledge/experience of electrical bonding criteria, thermal cooling requirements for electronic equipment, EMI shielding, and High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) / Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL) installation criteria is considered a plus.
