Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our growing team as an Engineer Database / Principal Engineer Database. The Mission Assurance (MA) team is seeking a data scientist who will make significant and ongoing contributions to the maturation of our data-driven processes. The ideal candidate possesses both the analytical aptitude and problem-solving skillset necessary for extracting value from a collection of novel data sets. As a function of engaging with stakeholders and taking ownership of outcomes, the candidate can comprehend the general problem space and is confident in socializing, demonstrating, conduct process analyses and design throughout the database implementation

Engineer Database
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Harness the power of scripting languages, specifically Power BI, Microsoft SQL queries to develop robust automation solutions, enhance system efficiency, and automate routine database tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline and 2 years of qualifiable database, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline experience; OR Mater of Science degree in STEM discipline AND 0 years of qualifiable database, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced with designing and creating reports utilizing Power BI, Microsoft SQL queries, Power Query M language, and DAX
Principal Engineer Database
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline and 4 years of qualifiable database, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline experience; OR Mater of Science degree in STEM discipline AND 3 years of qualifiable database, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced with designing and creating reports utilizing Power BI, Microsoft SQL queries, Power Query M language, and DAX
Salary Range: $77,200 - $115,800
Salary Range 2: $95,300 - $142,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
