What Will You Be Doing?

Under the guidance of the Manager of IT Systems Engineering, the Endpoint Engineer II will develop, implement, and support systems and processes for our Windows and Mobile environments. We seek a highly motivated and experienced professional with expertise in Windows and Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our endpoint management systems, ensuring seamless operation and security of all organizational devices.

Essential Functions

  • Endpoint Management: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of endpoint management systems.
  • Device Enrollment: Manage the enrollment and provisioning of endpoints, ensuring compliance with company policies and security standards.
  • Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce MDM policies and profiles to ensure secure and efficient device usage.
  • Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for endpoint-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect endpoints from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Software Updates: Manage and deploy software updates and patches to endpoints through MDM solution.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of endpoint configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Cyber security, and other departments to align endpoint management strategies with organizational goals.
  • Training: Provide training and support to end-users on endpoint management best practices and usage.
  • Travel requirements: 10 in support of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Functions

  • Maintain endpoint configuration records
  • Adhere to documented Change Management processes to protect the integrity of the production environment
  • Manage ticket loads and ensure that response time SLAs are met
  • Develop policies and procedures to establish and maintain consistency and process driven resolution to problems

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in endpoint management, with a strong focus on MDM systems like Intune and JAMF.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Intune and JAMF Pro in an enterprise setting of 7500+ devices. Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, macOS).
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as JAMF Certified Admin, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar are a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • MDM Systems: In-depth understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, particularly in Intune and JAMF Pro. Knowledge of Apple Business Manager.
  • Operating Systems: Knowledge of mobile and desktop operating systems such as Windows, iOS, Android and macOS.
  • Security Protocols: Familiarity with security protocols and best practices for endpoint management.
  • Networking: Basic knowledge of networking principles and how they relate to endpoint connectivity.
  • Compliance Standards: Understanding of compliance standards and regulations related to endpoint management (e.g., SOX, PCI).
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in configuring and managing Intune and JAMF Pro.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve endpoint-related .
  • Policy Development: Ability to develop and implement MDM policies and profiles.
  • Software Deployment: Proficiency in deploying software updates and patches through MDM systems.
  • Documentation: Excellent documentation skills to maintain detailed records of endpoint configurations and procedures.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and user support.
  • Training: Ability to train and support end-users on endpoint management best practices and usage.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate configuration and compliance with policies.
