Morson are recruiting an Engineering Project Leader for an initial 6 week contract with our leading aeropace client. This will be a mix of working from Bristol, Gloucester and home. The Engineering Projec Leader will support the completion of MLG (main landing gear) and BCS (braking control system).
Responsibility:
- Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in engineering projects
- Communicate during daily interactions with clients to interpret requirements and needs
- Coordination of technical team
- Effective planning of engineering projects
- Creation of coherent Work Breakdown Structures & Product Breakdown Structures
- Creation of robust engineering plans and delivering under gated processes (MER, PROMPT, PLS)
- Effective management of resources and requirements
- Manage engineering changes through the engineering functions to support project delivery
- Assess and manage technical risks to avoid adverse project impact
- Support problem solving initiatives
- Be able to communicate efficiently and clearly with internal and external suppliers and customers
Qualification & Skills:
- Degree level or equivalent, MSc preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering disciplines.
- Project Management experience
- Landing Gear (Main Landing Gear, Nose Landing Gear and Brake Control System) experience
- Product development and associated processes
- High level of proven interpersonal skills, being a competent communicator and able to establish good working relationships across a broad spectrum of departments
- Technical specification preparation
- Cognizant of the current industry standards in the field of aircraft certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
