Job Title: Engineering Technician Specialist
Position Summary
Acting as lead, performs technical support on a variety of tasks to assist the Engineering function. Leads variety of testing and troubleshooting tasks.
- Acting as lead, provides support to the Engineering function, leading complex tests, troubleshooting systems, and making recommendations for new procedures. Works on multiple projects at once to support engineering business improvement objectives. May perform work with electronics, electro-mechanical systems, , instrumentation, systems, test software, and V&V, among others
- Support of production test equipment
- Independently performs tests at customer sites or external labs.
- Participates in building prototypes per engineers’ specifications to ensure feasibility.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong understanding of electronics including (but not limited to) DC power, AC power (single and 3 phase), electronic components, electromechanical parts, and impedance
- Strong hands-on skills such as equipment disassembly, reassembly, and building of basic test equipment/setups
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of engineering processes
- Ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solving
- Strong ability to effectively manage time around multiple projects
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve problems
- Ability to extract, manipulate, correct, and analyze data
- Ability to gather data and compile information
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and database management tools

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED
6+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
