JT4 provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. Ranges supported by JT4 include the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), the Space Test and Training Range (STTR) at Schriever Air Force Base, the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), the Air Force Test Center 412th Test Wing (412TW) at Edwards Air Force Base, and the Navy China Lake Ranges (CLR) including Pt. Mugu, California. JT4 is supported by several teammate companies on the J-Tech II Contract. Together we develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments. We prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

EDUCATION
Must have one of the following:
• Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and 8 years of related engineering experience
• Master of Science in Engineering with at least 6 years of related engineering experience
• An accredited doctoral degree in Engineering with at least 4 years of related experience.

Must have a valid, current state driver's license.
Must qualify for and maintain a minimum of a Security Clearance.

Software Engineer III

JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES- Serves as a technical advisor responsible for a broad program involving development, budgeting, scheduling, project management, and installation of systems. Performs in a supervisor's role for engineers involved in the development, testing, integration, and sustainment of specialized and diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment and systems. Determines test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements; writes test planning documents; schedules program activities; tracks funding and expenditures; plans and conducts test missions; analyzes resultant data; and documents results in test reports, statistical evaluations, and briefing presentations. Directs interface with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design; acts as liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications. Generates complete design specifications for more complex projects. Coordinates and works closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements. Electrical Design engineer for aircraft instrumentation systems

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical design and installation drawings. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with provided direction. Strong written and verbal communications skills Aircraft experience (B-52 and/or B-1 preferred). Aircraft mod experience -- private sector or military (T-2 Mod preferred). Flight test operations experience. Experience with Networking TCP/IP systems, RF/telemetry systems, and hardware programming experience.

• Knowledgeable on the following instrumentation systems (PCM, 1553 data bus, telemetry, video and data acquisition and recording systems, power and control interfaces, IRIG, GPS, and packaging).
• Capable of working independently and within a team environment, interacting with different engineering fields (Mech; Elec; Aero).
• Provide technical direction to engineers, model makers, and electrical technicians for instrumentation hardware buildup and installation.
• Prepare and maintain instrumentation configuration control documentation and modification packages.
• Develop, issue, and verify aircraft instrumentation checkout procedures. Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for hardware installation, troubleshooting and checkouts.
• Complete understanding of analog and digital electronic principles. Understand parameter calibration and raw data to engineering unit conversions. Working knowledge of Personal Computers using word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling, theory of constraints, and databases.
