The Autonomous Mission Systems team (AMS) is looking for talented Mechanical Engineers to design proprietary structures for new state of the art autonomous marine vehicles. The designs will require advanced materials and designs for our customers, working closely with electrical and systems engineering teams. The vehicles will be a combination of small production lots to larger production lots with significant emphasis on cost reduction initiatives and creative manufacturing methods.
- Develop 3D drawings utilizing a variety of tools including NX, CATIA and others
- Work within a configuration managed environment
- The use of static and dynamic analysis tools to validate designs
- Ensure designs meet customer requirements
- Perform risk assessments on complex designs and systems operating in austere marine environments.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelors Degree or higher by June 2020
- Experience and or education in mechanical CAD design
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
