- Lead and manage the end-to-end process of equipment procurement, ensuring specifications align with project and operational requirements.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of equipment, ensuring adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and quality benchspans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for coordination among cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, quality assurance, and EH&S, to support smooth project execution.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex issues related to equipment installation and integration, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments.
- Compile all relevant documentation for First Article Inspection (FAI) review.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to manage equipment delivery schedules, performance, and compliance with contract terms.
- Ensure that all engineering activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- Foster effective communication across all levels of the organization, facilitating knowledge sharing and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide technical support and guidance during project planning, execution, and post-commissioning phases.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project processes and outcomes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning, preferably within an aviation MRO or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of safety and quality management principles relevant to equipment installation and commissioning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
