For Airbus Defense and Space in Manching, we are looking for an Equipment Engineer Future Avionics (d/f/m) in the Eurofighter Qualification & Equipment Engineering department for the new development of the Eurofighter Mission Computer as part of the Long-Term Evolution of the weapon system.

The position is suitable for candidates who already have experience in device development and can contribute this to the redesign of the Eurofighter Mission Computer. You will be part of a dynamic international team and will be in direct contact with our customers and the manufacturer.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Analysis of the higher-level system and customer requirements and derivation of the necessary device requirements

• Coordination of the equipment development involving the internal specialist departments and the Eurofighter partner companies

• Support and monitoring of the equipment qualification at the manufacturer

• Accompaniment and monitoring of the subsequent system qualification including flight tests

• Validation and coordination of development documentation

• Accompaniment and monitoring of change management and cooperation with offers

• Processing of technical inquiries from customers, equipment manufacturers and Eurofighter Partner Companies as part of in-service support

Desired skills and qualifications

• Completed studies (Bachelor/Master) in the field of electrical engineering, aerospace or with a comparable focus

• Experience in device development and knowledge of development processes as well as experience in dealing with manufacturers

• Experience in the Eurofighter program desirable

• Safe handling of MS Office and Doors

• Independent and at the same time cooperative way of working in an international team, creativity as well as an analytical and structured approach

• Business fluent English and German language skills
