This internship will be onsite in Duluth, MN from May 2025 through August 2025.

The primary responsibility of the Experimental Engineering Intern is to contribute to the revision of onboarding manuals for the fabrication, composites, assembly, and avionics groups. As well as the creation of onboarding manuals for the platform managers and other duties as assigned by the Experimental management team. This internship is designed for individuals pursuing a degree in business or engineering and offers hands-on experience in translating complex technical information into accessible and informative manuals. You will work closely with aerospace professionals while gaining valuable insights into the product development side of the industry. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, well-written, motivated individual with an interest in the behind-the-scenes skillset it takes to bring an aerospace product to market.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

    • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
    • Craft user-friendly onboarding manuals for machinists, composite workers, assemblers, avionics technicians, and project managers
    • Translate complex technical information into accessible and informative documents
    • Work closely with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for documentation
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and completeness of technical content
    • Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to maintain high levels of clarity, accuracy, and precision
    • Implement feedback and revisions to enhance the overall quality of onboarding manuals
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of onboarding processes by identifying areas for enhancement
    • Propose creative solutions to streamline and optimize the onboarding experience for technical teams
    • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Experimental Managers

    Qualifications:

    • Current junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a relevant degree in Business or Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Process Engineering.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
    • Must be able to complete entire duration of internship.
    • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of internship.
