Pratt & Whitney (P&W) F135 Fleet Operations has a rare opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills – both oral and written – to represent the P&W Team at Luke AFB, Arizona as an F135 FSE. This role is required onsite at Luke AFB, AZ.

What You Will Do: 

  • Support F-35A/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and offboard system processes. The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and squadron personnel.
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.
  • Work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Center, Autonomous Logistics Information System (ALIS)), to assist unit-level customers in troubleshooting and resolving emerging issues while maintaining flexibility to adapt to constantly changing customer priorities.
  • Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and Lockheed Martin. Youll also be tasked with coordinating field issues with the P&W Site Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management. Comply with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and participating in Customer-Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) initiatives.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments. Domestic and international travel are possible and part of the team concept, and the ability to rotate between first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives, this position is primarily a 2nd shift position.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • BS/BA degree required in Engineering or related technical field. Non-technical degrees will be considered if the candidate has appropriate / related experience. OR, associate’s degree or 2 years of post-high school training and 9 years of engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and support equipment management.
  • A minimum 5+ years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required. This includes supply chain management and support equipment management.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Selected candidate must possess a US Govt. Secret Clearance or have ability to secure one for position requirements – Candidates whose clearance has recently lapsed (not more than 2 years), may also apply for consideration.
  • Must agree to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments to include domestic and international travel, and also to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives, this position is primarily a 2nd shift position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • 3+ years’ experience with the F135 engine
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Background in ITAR/ITC is desired

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
