Responsibilities:
- Support electrical systems for buildings, equipment installations, and utility infrastructure, including central utility distribution sites and self-contained buildings.
- Diagnose asset failures and performance reductions using reliability tools (e.g., life cycle analysis, root cause failure analysis, fault tree analysis).
- Analyze infrastructure needs and recommend capital improvements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate customer requirements into design options, including material selection, equipment recommendations, and cost estimates.
- Develop project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and permit application packages.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and applicable laws for electrical designs.
- Support construction projects by reviewing contractor proposals, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and monitoring project progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation by reviewing contractor redlines and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Expertise: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Industrial Electrical Systems: Experience supporting medium and low voltage electrical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Substation & Switchgear: Hands-on experience with repairs and preventive maintenance of substations and switchgear.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with electrical service providers.
- Knowledge of lighting evaluations and optimization.
- Familiarity with building automation, control systems, and energy management systems.
- 5+ years of experience in engineering, facilities, or maintenance roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
