This position is an opportunity to work as a hands-on Field Engineer in a fast-paced team-oriented environment supporting electronic warfare equipment in a Shipyard and lab environment. In this role the candidate will be
required to perform short term domestic or
international travel at a minimum of 50 of the
time supporting our customer when the need
arises. The candidate will be required to work
independently on site with reach back support
when required. While on-site the candidate will
be supporting the system prior to, during, or
after system operational verification testing on-
board Navy ships.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
1) Trouble shooting and repairing Radio
Frequency over Fiber (RFoF) cables including
termination.
2) Perform and installing required engineering changes.
3) Troubleshooting of electronic cabinet and
server-based equipment.
4) Interfacing with the US Navy Customer.
5) Working within schedule and cost constraints. When the candidate is not traveling, they will be supporting an established lab team working in a lab environment in the Syracuse Test Facility.
Basic Qualifications:
1) Domestic travel and or international travel is required.
2) Experience supporting DOD systems in a
shipyard environment.
3) Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to work requiring minimal to no guidance.
4) Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
5) Strong skills interpreting and following
schematics.
6) Candidate must be able to demonstrate skills
utilizing different pieces of test equipment.
Examples like Fiber Cable Test Tools (i.e.
interferometer, meters, etc.), Digital
Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, or a Signal
Generator.
7) Must have an interim secret clearance to
start.
8) Strong written and verbal communications
skills required.
9) Strong skills following established test
procedures.
10) Must be a US Citizen and possess a valid US
Driver’s License.
11) Proficient using MS Office Software including
Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Desired Skills:
1) Fiber Optics
repair/cleaning/polishing/termination – NAVSEA Certification desired
2) Previous Military experience performing
maintenance and operation of Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) AN/SLQ-32 (V)6 or SLQ-32 System.
3) Previous field engineering and equipment
support experience in support of a defense
program.
4) Skills conducting on the job training.
5) Ability to learn via on-the-job training.
6) Understanding of Unix/Linux operating system in the areas of file system navigation and
commands.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $71,000 - $136,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $81,600 - $153,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
