Honeywell is currently recruiting for HSE Engineer II to join the team in South Bend, IN.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing HSE support for our manufacturing facilities in South Bend, IN, partnering with cross-functional facility teams and leaders. You will provide support to operational teams and conduct various Health, Safety, and Environmental related activities to ensure regulatory and company requirement compliance. 

You will interact with employees and supervisors to coach on HSE issues. Influence plant personnel to improve HSE standards through use of standard work, Gembas, rapid problem solving, and visual management. 

 

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:


•                     Ensure compliance

•                     Integrate HS&E into Honeywells Operating System

•                     External agency interaction

•                     Complete and submit reports

•                     Implements HSE&F standards

•                     Provide technical assistance

•                     Site compliance reviews

•                     Advocates HOS behaviors

•                     Effective coach and role model

•                     Deploys safety initiatives

•                     Measures key HSEF metrics

•                     Ensures compliance standards

•                     Strong project management skills

•                     Interface with contractors and facilitate contractor safety

 

 

 

YOU MUST HAVE:

•                     1+ years of relevant HSE experience

•                     U.S. citizenship due to contractual requirements

 

WE VALUE:


•                     Bachelors degree in engineering, manufacturing, safety, environmental science, or related field.

•                     Additional Health, Safety, and Environmental certifications

•                     Relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental experience

•                     Ability to work well in team environments

•                     Effective written and verbal communication

•                     Self-motivated and dynamic, with the ability to align objectives and goals with those of the plant

•                     Fosters teamwork and collaboration

•                     Experience working in a manufacturing environment

•                     Ability to work independently

•                     Proficiency with Microsoft Suite

•                     Strong presentation/training skills
