This role will engage with our lean and industrial engineering users across part families, shop operations, and supporting cross-functional teams that satisfy the needs for activities including capacity utilization, labor and machine utilization improvement, layout standardization, plant loading studies.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Develop advanced competency in wide range of Industrial Engineering Methods and Lean tools, and coaches associates in the use and implementation of Lean principles.
  • Partner, develop and execute standard Capacity Utilization process in partnership with the local Operations, Lean and Industrial Engineering Leaders.
  • Improves workflow by studying process flow charts, recommending modifications in workflow and workstations, and developing new procedures.
  • Improves labor and machine utilization by studying work methods, layout, and equipment modifications, designing new methods, and recommending job restructuring.
  • Share and communicate advanced industrial engineering process flows and work streams to be used by the operations as Best Practice Standards across the Supply Chain.
  • Use Lean Process Improvement methodologies, expertise, and judgment to creatively address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others options on topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on Industrial Engineering, Lean Transformations or Supply Chain operations.
  • Willing to travel up to 50 of the time.

Desired Characteristics and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience facilitating lean transformations or Supply Chain operations. 
  • Masters degree in Industrial Engineering.

  • Knowledge of and experience applying lean in transactional and shop floor situations (standardized work, material & information flows, level production and pull systems).
