Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead/support the insulation design of electric machines
  • Perform analytical and numerical modelling and the voltage stress distribution in electrical components
  • Perform experimental characterization and qualification of electrical insulation systems
  • Collaborate with the electromagnetic designers of electric machines
  • Support the electric machine concept development for hybrid applications

Required Qualifications

  • MSc. in electrical engineering, materials science or physics
  • Several years experience in the design, the experimental characterization and qualification of electrical insulation systems
  • Experience in partial discharge free and resistant insulation systems
  • Experience in Matlab/Simulink and/or Python
  • Experience in validating electric machine technology through prototyping and laboratory testing
  • Familiarity with CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools
  • Proven system thinker with ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

Desired Characteristics

  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering or materials science or physics
  • Excellent team player
  • Industrial Experience
