Technical Operations/Maintenance

Technical Operations manages the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Engineer- Maintenance Programs executes the technical duties of a lead engineer through ownership of specific aircraft, powerplant, cabin/interior, systems, maintenance program, or service engineering roles, where the duties encompass direct operational support of aircraft/engines/components in the line maintenance or overhaul environment for multiple disciplines. At this level, those duties include expertise commensurate with technical specialists elsewhere in commercial aviation (e.g., Technical Fellows, Master Engineers, etc.).

This role also performs technical reviews of documentation generated by other engineering staff members in their respective fields. The individual will perform direct supervisory functions for an assigned group of engineers and interface at a division level on projects their team owns. This interfacing also includes but is not limited to, OEM, FAA, and industry committees.

  1. Lead regular engineering duties as a domain expert in line with the responsibilities of a principal engineer.
  2. Complete technical reviews of engineering documents generated by other team members.
  3. Interfacing at a department level on priorities and projects related to regulatory compliance, reliability, etc.
  4. Administrative duties tied to supervision of staff, including identification of development opportunities for direct reports
  5. Industry-level engagement on technical issues within their field of knowledge, including time spent directly with the OEMs and the FAA

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience

· Minimum of 2-4 years at a principal engineer level or similar role elsewhere in the industry

· Working knowledge of both Boeing and Airbus aircraft and engines

· Engineering skill sets that can be applied to a range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, and engines.

· Ability to analyze complex technical issues, and detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications.

· Excellent verbal and technical writing skills are needed.

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

· Successful completion of the interview is required to meet job qualifications.

· Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

· Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Knowledge of MSG-3 philosophy and application in the development and evolution of a maintenance program

· Knowledge of airline operations and maintenance execution
