Maintenance Documentation Engineer for Governmental Helicopter NH90/TIGER (m/w/d)!

The Maintenance Documentation Engineer is working on Data Modules (Standard AECMA S1000D)
at InfoSet Air Vehicle Maintenance Planning (AMP) for TIGER/NH90 at the work share of Airbus Helicopters Deutschland. The AMP InfoSet is part of the technical documentation delivery to ensure the service and operation of NH90/TIGER helicopters. All revisions to be incorporated, will be provided by the Programs & Production department. The goal is to ensure availability of all information related to scheduled maintenance inside the next Technical Publication.
Maintenance Documentation Engineer is responsible for preparation, analyze, revision and support
for publication of all information related to Air Vehicle Maintenance Planning. The responsibility
includes also the support of airworthiness department during preparation of documents linked to
changes at AMP Chapter 04 and to the qualification of new helicopters (delta qualification process). In addition, continuing airworthiness is a key requirement to ensure safe operations on customer side.The role also supports NHI (NATO Helicopter Industries) , as contract holder for NH90, during the planning and organization of the deliverables like rush revision content or qualification documents.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Impact Analyse of all incoming triggers like service bulletins, customer comments and modifications. Definition of missing Engineering/Development documents, in close contact with ILS Management (Integrated Logistic Support)
  • Planning of incorporation of triggers and revisions with Programs and Production
  • Independent authoring of all updates at different tools like Chronos and Arbortext
  • Proof reading and validation of revised tasks at team level
  • Delivery of up-issued Data Modules to Master CSDB (Master CSDB: database containing all Data Modules that have been produced by TECHDATA and that are ready to be delivered to customers)
  • Validation of revised AMP tasks inside the X-INDOC browser (viewer software that allows customers and industry to display and navigate inside the customer technical documentationto) to ensure correctness an usability of the technical documentation
  • Participate to internal meetings (with Design Office departments, Continued Airworthiness and other department involved in customer technical documentation creation) and external meetings (with NHI, customers) as soon as AMP scope has to be discussed
  • To take corrective actions out of MITBs, to support initial airworthiness at MSR level (MSR: Airworthiness document supporting a design change to obtain the approval of authorities)
  • AMP Focal point for qualification of new variants
  • Negotiation with NQO and NAHEMA during variants qualification
  • Attendance to customer meetings like Tech Pub Working Groups as an expert for AMP topics
  • Update and contribution of relevant AMP Management documents at NHI level and AirbusHelicopters level
  • Highlighting of deviations between different technical documentation Issues for German Armed Forces

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree in engineering (or similar)
  • Several years of professional experience in the area of ​​“Support and Service” and/or  engineering with a preference for customer support/with focus on customer support
  • Several years of experience in the area of ​​helicopter maintenance and/or production (Helicopter Final Assembly Line/Flight Line).
  • Experience with authorities (wish)
  • Knowledge of ILS processes (integrated Logistic Support)
  • Willingness for business travels
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Familiar with MS Office & G Suite
  • Expertise of AECMA S1000D (SGML) and/or Databases (wish)
  • Ability to work under pressure when it comes to dead lines
  • Languages: English & German business fluent, another language an advantage

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
